I have a 34 belt loader that will load the belts with ease as long as I hold the latch that secures the belt with lite tension. If I lock the latch as it is sopposed to work, the belt and the cartridge jam because of to much tension. Is there a cure for this? Has anyone run into this problem? I'm afraid to file or bend this thing without consulting the group.
Thanks for your help.

Re: MG34/42 Crank belt loader
I had the same problem with a Yugo copy of the WW2 style MG34/42 belt loader.I had to straighten a part on the belt guide to make it work but I don't remember the exact part.I just remember that the part had a slight twist to it.

Thanks for the help. I was able to bend the latch to level with the base, and it now works fine.
