Doppeltrommel 34

Post by bergflak »

Not in pristine condition, as it was a "Wasserfund". But then again; beggers can't be choosers!

Main differences from the DT-15 (for the MG15): The covers for the adjustable spring with two screws, lack of Luftwaffe markings, top release latch with narrower form and WaA marking instead of LW-eagle-WaA to the rear of the cartridge opening.

Hi,
Unfortunately not the correct drum , but it does work if you don't fully load it. The top cover works fine. I do have another that will be for sale shortly once it has been used on a gun.

Hey, what ever happened on this? Did you ever find that other drum, or get it to work? This looked neat!

You guys are just awful, with that display of coveted machinery-hoarding it away-shades of Scrooge McDuck!! Thank you both for the pics,it is good to know this stuff is being appreciated instead of rusting away or in some smelter. It gives the rest of us something to aspire to.Congratulations, looks good.BTW-do you have the address of that store?? ---bil

Wow!!!! Where did all that come from???? I thought all those were gone, 12 topcovers???? And actual MG34 drums????

Incidentally, what happened to all the drums? Were they reworked into something else, or just scrapped and restamped into MP44s????

i know the topcovers turned up in russia few years ago. not very many, maybe 50, but the drums are still rare. they came out of a arsenal storage. i can't believe the photo of the three side by side. - matt

Sorry Ryan, it can´t be the same shop. I´m sitting here in good old germany. And for the price of twelve Trommelhalter here you can buy a small car. I got my Trommelhalter for €1100. The Doppeltrommel is a DT15 (€350).
What you have is real porn!
