ima ammo can

i bought an ammo can from IMA. other than the finish, its in very good condition. very minor surface rust and only a small ding or 2. it was brushed on dark green over tan, no primer. the top caver is marked BDK 44 and the bottom is marked on both ends patr.kast.41 F.M.G. at first i thought the top and bottom were mismatched but it doesnt look like they come apart. can anyone identify the markings for me?

patr.kast.41 F.M.G. = Patronen Kasten 41 für MG = Ammunition Can (model of) 1941, for Machinegun.
BDK is most probably the manufacturer's code, and 44 is the year built (1944).
