MG34(t) collectors...turn back now before it is too late. Collecting all of the proper components for the "T" could be a bit of a task. There are currently MG34(t) kits available, but the problem lies with the accesories. When the tank crew had to abandon their tank, they would dismount their MG34 and grab the ground kit for said MG. The ground kit was a sheetmetal box that contained the following: Stock, bipod, sling, clamp on front sight/bipod mount and a clamp on AA sight base/front sling connection (thingamajig). As the buttstock, bipod and sling were identical to the regular MG34 only the two clamp on brackets and the heavy barrel shroud (including a few features on the shroud) were unique to this weapon. Myrvangs book makes mention of a possible reversible feedtray, but this has never been found with any of the Panzermantel MG's. From what I have gleaned, the sheetmetal box, and both clamp on pieces never come with kits and tend to be difficult to locate (hell they don't even give you a stock). Here is a picture of one piece I won on eBay for around $230:
Getting closer...

Ohio ORdnance has a few Tanker MG kits for around $300. They are far from complete though....you only really get the heavy barrel shroud and a regular MG kit minus receiver.
It's better to be silent and considered a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
Bah...complete dissappointment...the panzermantel bracket never made it out of Poland...assumed to have been grabbed ikn customs...I did get my money back from the seller though...that was rare.

I.M.A. used to sell them till about seven years ago for around $250.I didn't have a tanker shroud at the time so I never bought the ground sight assembly.Figures i picked up a tanker shroud off a guy on eBay for less than $100 and now sights are sold out.
I don't remember.I stored it in the attic after I inspected it,I'll I remember was that it was in very good condition.I'll look for it in a couple of days and post a picture.
Hi,
I have four tanker 34's, if pictures are still wanted let me know. I have the front clamp which takes the bipod but all such parts are hard to find.
