34 lafette restoration

Post by mp5 »

I just got a 1939 mg34 lafette which was recently liberated by AF Budge/Ryton Arms UK from a warehouse in Stalingrad, but I have reason to believe it was refinished by the russkies, but is in excellent shape. It has a thick layer of gray green paint that has protected it well from the horrible conditions of its Soviet internment, and aside from minor rusting in the bare metal area it looks/works OK. I even have a Zeileinrichtung 34 that I recently purchased from Hugh Brock.
I wish to have this restored to pre war cammo finish, but don't have the time.
Is there anyone out there who can be entrusted with this endeavour?

Thanks,

Jorge

Ryan Schnee can do it, and may be the only one that can do it. Please note that camo patterns (green, tan, brown) were not used after 1938
