Authentic Spring Tube, or Not???
I bought this MG34 recoil spring tube out of Europe. I assume that it is authentic but I have heard that there are fakes out there. Any thoughts on whether this is definitely genuine? It's mighty clean; has cosmoline inside with the spring.

From the pictures I would say that it is original. Its a shame that so many people want repro kit to add to their gun. If its not the real thing then in my book it devalues the overall effect of the accumulation of items one has is made upif its full of fake kit. I fully understand it when people say that some of the accessories are too much money, but then they are the rarer items and consequently collectors who want the real deal will pay top $ to have them. Unfortunately somewhere along the way a guy with a machine shop sees this and decides to make the same item at a fraction of the cost of the real one and then sells them to the guys who don't want to pay big money.
I would rahter wait till I have enough money and buy one expensive real item than pay out lesser money for repro kit.
