Fortress Belts question????

Post by ChrisPCook »

Myrvangs book states that the fortress belts are 250 rds. But just recently I was offered a belt with only 200 links, it is attached to a 1934 dated starter tab. This is the second time I have seen these belts with 200 rds. A gentleman in Belgium had a couple for sale about a year ago, both had 200 links in them. If anyone could elaborate on what they have seen I'd be interested to hear more. Chris....

Look carefully at the attaching springs for signs that someone has mucked around with it,either to lengthen or shorten it. ---bil

I am usually skeptical of these, but you never know...I have seen more than several over the past couple years with a 200 rd capacity...here's the link to the auction, I can't bid on it anyways... Chris....
