Coolest MGz40! Transitional dhq in mint condition.
Coolest MGz40! Transitional dhq in mint condition.
This one arrived yesterday and still has me stunned! It must be a transitional make, from the periode when they changed from Panzergrey to tan. Every second part is the opposite color, giving a cool look! And no, it has not been tampered with! This one still has the original screw sealing showing age on all screws, and it came straight from a Norwegian army source.... Came with box and collimator as well.

Very nice-it is good to see you are still finding some real goodies out there! Thanks for the pics of a rare item. ---bil

Two-Tone.......groovy man! And it still has the colliminator...

Bergflak,
That is one fine looking MGZ-40 Optic.
If you run across any extra "Collimators"......I can use two (2) of them.

I'm not greedy like Blanksguy... I need only ONE collimator!

Richard and Dar!
It is in the collimators nature ("Hey, what's this little thingamagig for?") that they got lost (thrown away). Only ever seen one that was sold separately, and that one was split from a complete MGz40, which was auctioned off at the same time.
I might sell off my old MGz40 with collimator though, as I will keep the new one. Keep watching.....

Thanks, Bergflak... but I probably cannot afford an ENTIRE MGZ40. Too bad tyou can collimators just lying around the front yard.

Well, what do you know!
http://cgi.ebay.de/Zieloptik-fuer-MG-34 ... 240%3A1318
If the seller have written down the serial correct the production of these two-tones has extended for at least 500 examples!
Too bad it is incomplete.
