YEAH! The trommelhalter is ALWAYS a cool accessory for the MG-34! Kinda wish they made one for the MG-42...even if it is a pain to reload.

Not the original WWII German ones, though. I actually have a repro topcover that I got from MGS with the drum, and I'll be selling it now that I got the real thing; the actual WWII German topcovers are fairly hard to find. I got this one in a Gunbroker auction, and am quite happy with it so far; but if it leads to me buying more and more of the double drums that may be a bad thing!!!

Good work DWMMg08, those drums look very classy in the old ’34 :D

Yep, that's Military Gun Supply, and no, I don't know of anyone with the trommelhalter cover, especially not the original German ones. There's not many of those out there. The repro's show up from time to time, keep looking!

MG34.com had an original at Knob Creek last fall - asking price was $1,300. I thought that was cheap. A guy emailed me about finding one two months ago and I told him about it. He bought it, but they may have another. Call and ask for Nikki or Greg. They didn't have the last one advertised, I just saw it on their table.

Same thing happened with some MG34/41 parts they had. I saw them and told someone when they inquired. Geez, I should get a finder's fee. :)

John-your reward was talking to Nikki! You are right, they have some stuff that is not on their site, not worth changing the site for one odd item. But they are very helpful when asked. ---bil
