I'm thinking about buying the reproduction AA sight offered by rtg parts. My question is, do the sights even fit an M53;and what's required to mount them on?

Ok, so the top photo has the AA mounted. The next is the sight which clips into the third photo.

The bottom shows where the nose doesn't have the above bracket. There's a web of metal, right where that white stripe in the background crosses the nose.

I'm not clear on where the mg3 AA site clips on:

the mg3 aa sight fits right in front of the rear sight assy--if my memory is right---it pins onto the rear sight
waffen

Front part drill add two rivets and then look for sight. Back AA sight either use the mg3 pop on site or use the mg42 WW2 style which requires one pin.
