you need a kit with full reciever to reweld with the semi mods and I believe everyone is out of them http://cgi.ebay.com/mg42-m53-repair-par ... dZViewItem this is an example of what you want, this is a 4 cut there are also 3 cuts out there, right now the important things to get are the reciever and barrels the rest is still available from angola armory and other sources, DO NOT buy a kit with reciever from alegehny arsonal these are good for parts but the reciever they send you is demilled beyond use, keep an eye in the 4 sale section for recievers

Chill. There are receivers around.

You will have to pay more, though. Supply and demand and all that.

(Too bad you couldn't stick a receiver in your duffle bag)

Hopefully Brian at BRP can be convinced to do another run. If someone can put together a group buy it may be hard to turn down an order for 20, or more.

Yeah, I wish I'd gotten in on the Weaponeer GB. I would love to have one of BRP's recievers to build on.
Hopefully BRP will make another run in the near future.

Has anyone had experience with the S.G. 42 kits? They advertise a demilled reciever with the parts.They also say German vet, are they really Yogo? Any heip would be great.

that was my kit, yes it sold for 1k,i have another listed in the 4 sale section here and will be listin it for auction if not sold by this weekend, these kits I have personaly gone through, there are others out there cheaper so shop around, mine just comes with all parts both calibers and the complete reciever

just to be clear the sg and cfs kit DO NOT COME WITH A COMPLETE RECIEVER the chunk they give you is useless

Thats amazing. If I had the extra cash at the time I would have bought several kits myself. Its nice to have extras that you can move to self-fund your hobby.

Now....If I can just find a deal on some 8mm conversion parts for my build I would be happy.

Just guessing.......but by the recent "E-Bay" ads that I have been seeing it looks like average MG42 DEMILed receivers would be about $550-$650 (or more) after you deduct the costs of a Parts-Kit?

i sold one of these got another 4 sale you get both 8mm and 308 parts for $1k plus complete demill rec.
