Can someone ID this one? I've rarely seen pics of this type and my guess is postwar MG1.

And does anybody know when they switched from wire wrap over to the metal "strip"? Was it a Waffenmeister field mod?

Steel band from I've been told is a Waffenmeister field mod.
Shape looks to me like a repro. But still looks nice.
