Anybody need a tripod for under 300 bucks?

Post by ScottD »

Ebay 300134684496

I contacted the guy and he said shipping would be 105 Euro. With a buy it now of 69 Euro, that brings this tripod in well under 300 US dollars. Id buy it but I need more clutter like I need a hole in my head. Besides, I still have to get my gun finished!

Dont these things go for about 400 here CONUS?

Does the buyer have to mess with those forms? I thought only the seller did? I bought a CD from England once and it was shipped right to me. Yeah, I know, apples to oranges.....

the buyer has to fill out the form and have it approved... Form 6 I believe? The guys who buy from Marstar in Canada have to fill out a form...

I don't know if things have changed in 4 years, but I bought a tripod from Mike Long in England and had it shipped with no problem. The last time I talked to Marstar they said they could send accessories not parts. All I was looking for was a screw and spring for the 42

maybe that's the deciding factor then. I thought anything that was former military equipment needed a form.

Military equipment, including accessories, are controlled under ITAR. You need a Form 6 to import according to the letter of the law.

When they arrive can someone pass comment on them and the service from the vendor. I am thinking of getting one for my M53. Only $170 shipped to the UK :D I suppose there had to be some advantage living over here.

Well impatience struck and I have ordered both this and the AA tripod he was selling. $240 for both is practically giving them away, it would have been rude not to buy them. I will post some pics when they arrive I wonder who will get theirs first?

I am closer BUT I have the Royal Mail hindering/stealing/breaking/loosing I mean delivering mine. I have no idea where to put them when they do get here though.

There was no Royal Mail involvement so they both arrived to day at 13:00. Just off to play and take pics to post later. :D

ps you wont be disappointed they look really good.

Well everything works ok. The rubber is a bit perished and I think there will be some cleaning of the contacts needed but the lights do work. Optics look great and have a cleaning kit included. I honestly don't think this has been used. It uses D cell batteries :D I thought it would be some weird military only battery. They come packed in shredded paper and that is what all the dust is. And might I add HOW F'in HEAVY  I pity the fool that had to carry any of these tripods.
