MG34 cartridge bag for panzer?
Is this a MG34 cartridge bag for panzer and can it be attached to a standard MG34?

Yes, the canvas bag on the right is the cartridge bag that is used with the MG34 in many types of German tanks. The can on the right is used with the zwillingssockel 36 and also a modified version is used in the halftrack MG mount.

Re: MG34 cartridge bag for panzer?
Thank you for the explanation. Does the panzer cartridge bag need some sort of adapter to be fitted to a standard MG34 or will it simply snap on to the MG34 without any modification?
Re: MG34 cartridge bag for panzer?
The bag does not attach to the MG34. It hangs on a rail (part of the ball mount) underneath the MG34. There is space for two bags. One bag feeds the gun and the other bag catches the empty cases. When the ammunition bag is empty it is moved to the right underneath the gun and a new bag of ammunition is placed on the rail. I have photos of this somehere and will look for them today and post them.
