Does anyone know if that extra $10 actually gets you a "hand picked" rifle or is that just BS?

DA, reading the various comments on the sites that offer that 'service'...sounds like a crap shoot.
Sometimes it seems to be OK...then you get the scathing 1 star review where it sucked and they sent it back!
when I get my C&R and I make a go for a k98...I'll bite and take the $10 hand picked bait.
Not sure if they have 5 in front of them and they pick the best of that current five...I guess it would be naive they have a huge amount of orders for various products and they spend all day digging through a warehouse just to get me a really nice one;)
Got 2 more weeks to wait for my C&R and I'll let you know what I get...you can see how good your k98 looks to what us average stiffs can get!
an extra note...I have noticed more and more sites offering the 'hand picked' service...guess easy money for these places...kind of like selling extended warrentes at a department store...

Yes it does they hand pic the first one they find on top of the pile
