Tomcat did a great post on repainting a lafette tripod. He has also posted paint color's etc in several other posts.
For the main one look under the mg34 tripod area or do a search and you will get a lot of other great info.

Need more info. Where are you located? What Lafette Do you have? 34 or 42? Also, what color do you want? Do you want Dunkelgrau or Dunkelgelb which translates to Dark Grey (Panzer Grey or Dark Yellow ( which is known as Ordanance tan)What year is your Laf?
If you want an oil base paint, I can help you locate that at any Sherwin Williams Store.
