MG34 joint lever

I could use some expert knowledge here. While looking through a couple kits, I noticed these two different sear release "joint levers". Are they interchangeable? Why does the one have the little ear on it? It is very faintly eagle marked, electro pencilled "46". Any info is appreciated. Thanks... Phil

the one with the ear is for the earlier mg34s with the rate of fire feature. the sear with the ear on it is fairly common. - matt

Thanks for the info, Matt. I have the receiver that it goes to. Looks like the barrel plunger hole is drilled all the way through, front to back. I assume some kind of shaft/spring went in there. It also has the trigger housing with the circular cutout.
I've never seen a diagramme of the operation of the system. Do anyone have it to publish here? If the receiver, trigger housing and sear lever are common items, were the other components of the rate-reducing system ever "mass-produced" too? As in, if I look hard enough, will I find any?
It would be interesting to clone the missing parts, just to see how the system worked. Has anyone done this?

There is a picture in Myrvangs book,and a small description,I think it would be hard to duplicate with just that,though. ---bil

Full-auto 1911! Actually, a full-auto Astra Star, sort of a cross between John Browning's 1911 and a Hi-Power, I believe. For when the enemy bunches up on you! The wheel looks like a "timer". I think I saw that Dillenger had a F/A 1911. Wonder how that worked...
I would imagine that the MG34 system works similar to a clock oscillating wheel Trying to scare up a photo/diagramme of the missing parts, maybe copy them in aluminum or Delrin. Should be fun....
