Nice looking receiver Tink. Before you get too much further along, might I offer a suggestion? My BRP stampings turned into a display long ago. Mill out the charge handle slots right now. The BRP stampings have radii that are much too large. The c/h has to nest in the bottom right as low as possible. The large radius precludes that. I had to machine away much of it, and narrow/bevel the c/h to get it in there. The rails also nest into the corners. See the cut-away photo of an original. Comparer radii in your photo #2, at the joint. The radii must match at the lower right. BRP uses sheet metal that is much thicker than the originals, and the contours are not correct. When you have a mechanism that has tightly fitting parts inside and out, like an MG42 receiver, that can be a dis-advantage. So before you weld up your receiver parts permanently, be sure the rails, recoup and c/h will fit. It's a tight space. I've only done original receivers since, with few problems.
