Receiver info help request
As subject line states HELP?
In following pics notice a slot where there normally is not one. Was this for a variable fire rate trigger group? Or a cut up semi? Cut up semi does not make a lot of sense but throwing it out there.
Thanks 42rocker

Re: Receiver info help request
....is that for the earlier "rate-of-fire" mechanism (?).........would have still been machined into MG34 receivers for a while after this mechanism was removed ......... until up-dated/modified plans were used at the factories. (IE: Production and as a replacement parts.).

Re: Receiver info help request
Not an expert, but those cutouts are for the "rate of fire". One of mine mg's have the same cutouts and the early grip, but with no parts inside.

And a old pic I have from when I had the grip apart for cleaning. This is the early style, the late style is just a frame, I belive I dont have pics of that type right now.

Re: Receiver info help request
You can spot an early receiver from the back without removing the pistol grips. The right hand receiver is the early one, just below and to the right of the buffer catch, the semi circle hole. Jonathan.
