That's what I was afraid of - I've been looking for a 42 barrel myself for a while. It is looking like the best option is to buy an extension and a new barrel from Apex.

The new 8MM MG42/M53 barrels I have in stock have been a popular choice with our customers.
I didn't start out with many of these so I would suggest that you don't wait too long to decide on the purchase.
I have a purchase order outstanding for another batch and they will have chrome bores & a parkerized finish.
When they are delivered the selling price will be higher as my cost was more.

The decision to chrome line the bores is costing me not only money but a longer delivery time!
The company that performs that work does it for a LOT of industry customers.
I am hoping these will perform better in use for my customers that have machine guns.
The odds of me running a second batch are not good!

These barrels are made in the U.S. using the same measurements as the originals!
Bring your M53 or MG42 to life with one of these brand new barrels by GMRB.
These barrels are matte blued and CHROME LINED in the bore and chamber.
Barrels will require fitting of the barrel extension, as well as need to be properly headspaced.
