Howdy!
New guy here from Washington state. I picked up a Wiselite M53 in July, and have slowly been putting together the playset.
I'm not new to firearms, but am new to belt-fed things. It's quite the machine.
Here's mine:

Not new to fire arms you say? I think that i see some fire power in the form of a mortar in the back ground.
Welcome to the world on MG42. Good Luck with everything.

Welcome to the site, lots of friendly people here, and tons of information.
As you likely know these things do not always work out of the box, and even if they do, fine tuning and healthy care can take time to learn.

Thanks for the welcomes!
42 Rocker- That's a Grenatenwerfer 34. 8cm mortar. It's a demilled restoration project for a friend.
Prussia- It took a bit of fiddling to get mine to run right, but it was worth it.

I wouldn't mind having the 8cm. It would go great with my 5cm Mod 36 u. Mle 37s.
The case in the foreground is the original carrying case for an Mle 37.
