Hello all,
This site is amazing and has been so helpful. Soooo, another question:
When the bolt is fully locked into the barrel extension, and when I try to pull on the charging handle, is the bolt supposed to be able to be retracted backwards, or does it stay locked until you fire it? Seems I have to push on the front of the barrel (muzzle bearing)and push barrel back *with booster cone off* to unlock the bolt to then be able use charging handle to retract bolt.
I hope that makes sense.
Thank you in advance!!!

Re: Charging Handle - Bolt Retraction
Something is not right. You should be able to open the bolt and unload without firing the weapon.
To tight, binding, something is not right.
Review the camming area for weld material, bends, rub marks, etc.Good Luck

Re: Charging Handle - Bolt Retraction
Make sure your charging handle dont bind in receiver. If its binding it can make the bolt harder to cam out of barrel...also make sure you welded on the kick off ledge on the front of charging handle slot as that produces a cam action which helps unlock bolt..the charging habdle cam should pull the. Bolt and barrel backwards then make a "chink" noise as it releases.
