mg34 trigger actuator lafette
Hello friends
I believe that the mg42 and the mg34 lafette are much the same except the mounting and trigger actuator.
i am changing a lafette that was once a 34 but altered by the Yugoslav army post war to a 42.
I have seen drawings on the web .
What i would like are images of the mg34 actuator left to right and also parts in the sleigh
that join these parts .
the mg34 actuator is single/auto fire
The lafette i have i have removed the 42 sleigh and am ready to exchange the original 34 sleigh.
So if there is some one out there who knows in detail with images of the association of these parts trigger actuator and sleigh mg34 it would be very helpful Robert.

Re: mg34 trigger actuator lafette
The trigger actuating mechanism is mostly in the rails. It is the same for MG34 and MG42 Lafette.
The late Lafette 34 trigger assembly is very much like the Lafette 42.
I recently installed a Lafette 42 trigger assembly into a Lefette 34 sled and it fits perfectly.

Here is what the mechanism set looks like. Do NOT remove the levered assembly from the rails; this is the same assembly for both Lafette 34 and Lafette 42.

Thanks. Took a bunch of photos last week with the hope of doing a book on the Lafette reassembly.

Re: mg34 trigger actuator lafette
Hello thanks for your image.
If you look At Reidars web site mg 34 lafette there is a trigger mechanism called schuckebier it is said to be an early style mg34 trigger actuator?
It is courtesy of 42 rocker states as a "retro " trigger early type.
It is different to your image abominog.
I am about to reassemble but i think there are some springs or a spring missing.
More information would be grateful
Bauble.

Where are you located?
The early MG34 trigger assembly is unique. It allows users to select between single-fire and automatic fire.
I don't have one to show you.

Re: mg34 trigger actuator lafette
Hello i am from Australia i have been looking for information about my mg34 lafette since last year.
The trigger actuator is the early style i have worked out it was missing a coil spring no problem.
and the two parts are held together via one pin type screw that engages in a slot in the adjacent part.
They all then fit into the side rail and is held there with one pin.
Before i reassemble i will up load some pictures when i work out how .
