Lafette 42 Mount, Yugo, $750 plus ship-Decosmolined!

Post by MG34Biker »

One Lafette 42 Mount, Yugo, couldn't find German markings. Has the oil brush and bolt box. Repro German rangeplate has not been installed.

So why spend $750 plus shipping on this one? 99% of the yucky, goey, gets all over the place cosmoline has been cleaned off, most of the layers of surface paint was stripped down, and it has been painted with Hunter Specialties Grass Tan paint.

Discrete PayPal or USPS MOs.

Figure shipping on 46 lbs from 80917.

I really dig the engineering that went into this mount. I lost hope of finding an MG34 cradle to convert it to hold my Schwein. Even "the block" from TNW didn't work out.

I'll wait for better times and maybe one will fall in my lap.

I've got the leather to redo the back pads but can't reach it in the shop due to my back. I'm still trying to recover from having the titanium rods pulled from my fusion op in 05.

Yeah, no one makes search fire units for infantry heavy MG tripods like the German lafette anymore. That is good engineering, and it's certainly not cheap to produce.

Damn, if I didn't just blow my wad on a BAR I'd be all over this. I've got a few things I'm selling but doubt they'll be sold before this tripod is taken.

I put this on eBay. But if one of you guys want this, I've got some chocolate brown leather I can replace the canvas with. I didn't want to do that yet because I was going to paint the mount dark Feldgrau or even Luftwaffe Feldblau. So, didn't want to go through the sewing then have to redo it after a repaint. I painted it this HS Grass Tan to get through the summer airshow season.
