Twin Gun Worth?

Post by Cpt_Kirks »

What would a pair of 8mm SA42's, along with a Twin AA mount for them, be worth?

Homebuilt SA-42's $2,000 to $3000 depending on who built them. MG3 dual AA is worth $400 + shipping, If it's a home built dual AA, my guess is as good as yours. Cpt_Kirks do you have an Dual MG3 AA? Could you post some pictures of the firing mechanism or do you just use your fingers?

I don't have one (yet), mainly just thinking out loud. Is posting the same as thinking out loud?

Heh, the shipping on those twin mounts is about as much as the price.

The MG3 AA Looks cool, has anyone shot off one? I've been told they are very heavy and take at least two people to move it.

The MG3 twin AA mount would look cool mounted on the back of a flatbed pickup.

I have one of the twin mounts and like to shoot off it.
The major draw back is the size and weight.
You can take the cradle off the top and one person can move the base, legs and cradle in a truck, will not fit in my car.

There is a safety issue, the first time I shot it and one of the MG-42 quit.
I was surprised at the torque developed with the recoil of one gun not on the center line.
When other people shot it, I stood behind them to grap it so it did not clear the firing line.
Before I take it to a public shoot again, I will have anti-rotation stops installed.
