Anyone know of a source for "Doppeltrommel" and 50 round assault drums??

Sounds like you've never been to the weaponeer site. The saddle drum they're listing
is the mg15, but works on the '34 with the correct top cover. The link will take you
directly to the Group Buy, but you'll have to sign up with the site to get onboard with that
group. These are being sold for 500+ elsewhere, and the original top cover is REALLY hard
to find. I seen one on ebay just a few days ago for over 1k. Do you have one?

Orin Harding is making great progress with his repro doppeltrommel top cover. It's a great addition to the gun community to have guys like that around. His MG15 80% receiver looks good too. Now that the weapons ban is gone, I hope someone starts making the drums, or at least Russia decides to sell a bunch of them.

Orin provided me with a 120+ page MG15 manual. I should be able to get it done by late fall.

I was surprised to see so many Trommel 75 rd drums on display and for sale, at the last MG Shoot here at Knob Creek :!: They were selling them for $300. What a shocker!........jw
Beautiful women are like well built machineguns: Some should just be looked at, and left alone, while others were built to get hot.
