Ben,

Could you tell us what connecting=lever you are looking for (?)....what weapon-system it goes to (?).......maybe a copy of a "Parts-Page" and indicate which part (?)......or a photo of an old "connecting-lever" so that we can help you.

Hmmm "DI's sticky section". Yup, that narrows it down for me. not.

This would be the short double-open-ended lever that goes between the feed pawl assembly and the main feed lever in the top cover of an MG42. It's about 2" long.

Yes, it's the feed pawl pivot that is slightly displaced to make the gun feed 7.62 x 51.
The connecting levers are the same for either caliber.

masterangler-01,
Still looking.....???
You should be able to buy one from any of the following shops:

RTG Parts may have one.....or may be part of a complete top-cover.

Allegany-Arsenal has MG42/M53 parts.

Gun-Parts-Corp. has MG42/MG3 parts.

SARCO, Inc. has MG42 parts.

.....and there are a few other "vendors" that sell these parts from time-to-time.

Next....GunBrokerAuctions should have these show up from time-to-time.......as would E-Bay..(MG42 in "Militaria").

Have you done any "searches" on the web for MG42-Top-Cover......or MG42/MG3-Parts (?)........or are you just looking for a connecting-lever in the "give-away-price-range" (?).

masterangler-01,

There is a connecting-lever on GunBrokerAuction tonight....starting at $7.99...and up.
....or a complete Top-Cover-Assembly starting at $75 up to $300 depending on what "flavor" you want.
